- Disqus Comments John Hales: DSJ in his MotorSport race report specifically refers to Surtees driving a V8 and Bandini a V6 in the race. David Phipps in his Autocourse report makes the same statement. The V8 was not available for the first practice session, therefore Surtees drove the V6, Bandini did not practise. In the second session Surtees drove the V8 and Bandini the V6. In the next Grand Prix at the Nurburgring Surtees had a V8 and Bandini again had a V6.
