Number 15 - Jackie Stewart's works 2-litre V8 BRM P261, chassis number '2617', which crashed on the opening lap at Masta Kink, seriously injuring the driver. Stewart was rescued from the wrecked car by fellow BRM drivers Graham Hill and Bob Bondurant who also spun off nearby. Car '2617' was destroyed.
