Entered by owner Bernard White, the car was repainted white for the race at request of John Frankenheimer's MGM movie crew who were shooting 'Grand Prix'. Bondurant crashed on first lap, along with Jackie Stewart and Graham Hill, and overturned near the Masta Kink.
