This photo shows cars in Stavelot Corner during a practice session. Number 46, is a Vanwall driven by Stirling Moss. Number 40, is a Maserati 250F probably driven by Maria Teresa de Fillipis, . Different numbers were used at Spa during practice to fool would-be pirate programme printers. On race day Number 46 was renumbered Number 2 and Number 40 was renumbered Number 26. The Number 2 car did not finish the race due to a complete engine failure in the first lap. Number 26 finished in 10th place.
